Injured S.C. firefighters released from hospital after engine wreck

The apparatus landed on its side after crashing during a non-emergent response

BEAUFORT, S.C. — The City of Beaufort and the Town of Port Royal Fire Department announced Friday morning that two of its firefighters are in good health after being injured Thursday in an apparatus crash.

The engine crashed onto one side during a non-emergent response, the department said.

The two firefighters were transported to a hospital and have been released.
