HAMILTON, Ohio — One person was killed following a collision between a car and a Kettering Medical Services ambulance, according to a Hamilton police report.
On March 3, Gian Manuel Cedeno-Melendez, 18, was driving southbound on U.S. 217 when his car crossed over the center line and drove across the northbound lanes, Fox 19 reported. The Kettering ambulance crew was driving in the northbound lane when they crashed into the passenger side of Cedeno-Melendez’s vehicle.
Cedeno-Melendez reportedly suffered several traumatic injuries, according to the Butler County Coroner, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ambulance crew sustained minor injuries. They were not transporting a patient at the time of the incident.
