HOUSTON — Both drivers survived a Monday morning rush-hour collision between an 18-wheeler and a box truck that left one vehicle dangling from a parkway overpass and the box truck crashed on a street below, ABC13 reported.
The box truck driver was transported to a hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.
South Montgomery County Fire Department firefighters rescued the driver from the dangling truck.

Battalion Chief Nathan Huffman said the crewmembers first secured the 18-wheeler and then used a ladder to get the driver out.
“He was very appreciative,” Huffman said. “He was very thankful. He did have a lot of kind words to say to our members, and it was nice to be able to rescue him, and he was unharmed.”
Spring Fire Department crewmembers assisted.
The Texas Department of Transportation inspected the bridge and said it is structurally safe.
The crash is being investigated.
