SANBORN, Iowa — Kaitlin Kribell serves as Sanborn Ambulance Service’s executive director, as well as its only EMT, KTIV reported.
As the sole EMT for the town, Kribell is concerned the service could shut down completely, leaving citizens to rely even more heavily on mutual aid from neighboring towns.
“We sit here and say that we need help, and people listen to it,” Kribell said. “I think they process it, maybe not as much, but it is a real threat that we might not have an ambulance service anymore.”
The city is committed to paying the instructional fees for any individual interested in working for the agency.
