RUSTON, La. — A civilian was killed and another injured when an ambulance crashed into a Jeep on Interstate 20 in Ruston, Louisiana, and at least one of the vehicles caught fire, KSLA reported.
The driver of the Jeep, 29-year-old James Hvamstad, of Honey Island, Texas, was killed, and his passenger was flown to a Shreveport hospital.
Authorities reported the ambulance was transporting a patient with non-life-threatening injury or illness and is expected to survive.
