SALISBURY, Conn. — A man was airlifted to the hospital after first responders rescued him following a serious fall at a local waterfall, according to fire officials.
The Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department said the regional rope rescue team and firefighters responded to Great Falls in Salisbury Monday after the man fell 40 feet.
“After about 2 hours the man was lifted up the cliff and turned over to local EMS and Life Star for further treatment and transport to Hartford,” the department said on Facebook.
There was no information on what type of injuries the man suffered, or how serious the injuries were believed to be.
