Series of mystery ‘thank you notes’ found on ambulances

Concealed notes and money in plastic bags that say, “You are awesome,” were left on ambulance windshields for EMS providers to find

LONDON — A series of mysterious “thank you” notes were left on ambulance windshields for EMS providers to find.

Metro reported that EMS providers are thanking whoever left concealed plastic wallets that read, “You are awesome,” and include a letter of gratitude as well as a little bit of money for refreshments.

“Saving lives every day is a contribution to this country that’s so enormous nothing could ever demonstrate the gratitude we all feel,” the notes read. “Thank you for your commitment, service and all that you do for all of us. Coffee & doughnuts are on us today.”

EMS provider Stephen Hines tweeted a photo of one of the notes.

“I don’t know who is responsible for these, but it seems our ambulance crews are finding them attached to vehicles,” the tweet read. “Thank you whoever you are!”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said the best way to thank an EMS provider is to reach out directly.

“All of our teams across the Service are passionate about helping Londoners in need,” the spokesperson said. “Each month more than 300 members of our staff are thanked in cards and letters of appreciation from the public. If someone would like to thank one of our teams or crews we’d encourage them to get in touch via our website, over the phone or by email so we can ensure their message reaches the team.”
