Though participation in this poll is low the results are alarming. The concept of a Rescue Task Force has been well known for many years and regularly discussed in EMS1 articles and conference presentations. The two options to the Rescue Task Force - rush in or stand by - are both untenable when lives can be saved with BLS interventions to control severe bleeding and reposition compromised airways. If your agency has yet to adopt the Rescue Task Force we’d like to know why. If your agency has adopted the Rescue Task Force, how are you training personnel to deploy the RTF?
