NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Mike Cairnie, MinXray’s Director of Global Sales, and a group of three medical professionals from Qure.ai brought portable digital radiography to Mount Everest’s southeast base camp in Nepal.

MinXray Inc., a global supplier of portable, compact digital imaging equipment, is based in the U.S., and Qure.ai, an artificial intelligence solutions provider, is based in India. The two companies conducted system demonstrations for MinXray’s Impact battery-powered portable digital radiography system with qXR Automated Chest X-ray AI Solution from Qure.ai. The new AI software can detect and localize 30 chest X-ray abnormalities.
