Calling all EMS photographers! EMS1 wants to see pictures of you in action or training. Submit a photo — it could be selected as our Photo of the Week! Be sure to include your name, department information and some background on the photo.
This week’s Photo of the Week comes from the National EMS Museum (NEMSM), which is stopping in Columbus, Ohio this week to display its traveling exhibition, “The Art of Emergency Care.”
The museum will open the exhibition, which displays EMS-related artwork alongside vintage medical tools, at the Central Ohio Fire Museum & Learning Center on Feb. 8. The opening weekend will also include a talk with Artist, Firefighter and Paramedic Daniel Sundahl of DanSun Photos.
NEMSM also recently announced that it has received a $30,000 gift from Global Medical Response to support its upcoming “50 Yeas of California EMS” exhibition, which will travel throughout California in the summer and fall of 2020 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the state’s Wedworth-Townsend Paramedic Act of 1970.
“Through generous support such as this, the National EMS Museum continues its mission to preserve and present the history of EMS in the United States and bring tailored community exhibitions to EMS services across the country, said NEMSM Director Kristy Van Hoven.
