FORSYTHE COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina EMT dazzled nursing home residents — and his crew — with an impromptu piano performance on Thursday.

Forsythe County Emergency Services wrote on Facebook that EMT Steven Plante was asked by residents to “play some tunes to spread some cheer.”

Plante obliged, performing a rendition of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” at the facility’s grand piano.

“The residents were delighted and our crew left delighted as well,” the agency wrote. “We are proud to have him and his partner Paramedic Michael Belcher as part of our EMS family.”

Plante’s gesture earned him both praise on Facebook, and a spotlight from local news stations WFMY and WXII.
