We have all been taught in EMT and Paramedic school pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. It has always been a theory of how a drug would affect a receptor on a cell membrane either blocking it or stimulating it.
This hypothesis has now been proven by Robert J. Lefkowitz and Brian K. Kobilka which awarded them the 2012 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. This video column will review their findings proving this hypothesis deserving this prestige award.
