The Boston Marathon bombings: A stark reminder to us all

Take the moment to review your disaster plans in wake of today’s tragedy

The events unfolding in Boston serve as stark reminders to all of us that we are on the front lines of domestic terror events, 24/7/365.

As prepared as they were for the marathon, Boston EMS providers were pushed hard today in responding to the bombing attack.

No doubt we are all praying for their safety and the community and support all of their efforts to make a successful mitigation effort.

Take the moment to review your disaster plans.

If it’s been some time since the last drill, consider getting your public safety partners together and review the steps you will take to integrate the overall response.

Keep those affected by today’s events in your prayers and remember the role you play in protecting our communities.
