POMEROY, Ohio — A flight paramedic was found dead Thursday at a helicopter base.
WSAZ reported that MedFlight flight paramedic Mark Potter, 28, was found at the agency’s Meigs County facility.
Officials said the cause of Potter’s death is currently unknown.
“We are devastated regarding the news of Mark’s death,” MedFlight President Tom Allenstein said. “Our thoughts and prayers are especially with his family. Mark is a cherished part of our family as well.”
According to a company spokesperson, Potter had been with MedFlight for almost two years and was an external base lead.
“He proudly and honorably represented his home community in Logan, Ohio,” a press release said. “Our heartfelt thanks go to the first responders, especially Meigs County EMS, who are involved and continue to support and assist us.”
