NEW YORK — A New York emergency room doctor’s heartfelt letter to a patient has gone viral after being posted online.
The New York Presbyterian Hospital doctor, whose name has been removed from images of the letter, wrote to a patient’s husband after she reportedly died of breast cancer, according to Yahoo News.
The letter has received more than a two million views on the popular site Reddit with thousands of comments.
In an interview, a 24-year-old man who first posted the letter said the outpouring of support from the Reddit community have comforted him with the loss of his mother.
