KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A family shares their outrage after they learn first from Newschannel 3, two drivers will be charged with causing their death. 22-year-old Brittany Despins parents say all this punishment will do is ruin more lives.
Despins and 23-year-old Trevor Stuck were killed after a crash at the 131 business loop nearly six months ago. The driver, 24-year-old Kari Braley failed to make a turn and went into the median.
Minutes later, another car missed the same turn and drove through the crash scene. Braley is facing two charges of OWI causing death. The second driver, Margaret Robinson will be charged with a misdemeanor moving violation causing death.
