BOSTON — The initial fire and police radio traffic from the Boston Marathon bombings on Monday highlight the emergency response to the incident.
Three people died and more than 130 were injured after two bombs exploded in the crowded streets near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
AP reported that the blasts were about 10 seconds and about 100 yards apart, knocking spectators and runners off their feet, shattering windows and sending dense plumes of smoke rising over the street and through the fluttering national flags lining the course.
