Ohio woman fatally struck by ambulance

ELYRIA, Ohio — A pedestrian was killed Monday afternoon in an incident involving an ambulance, police say.

The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. at 310 East Ave. A Lifecare Ambulance reportedly struck the victim. No other details were released by police Monday evening.

WOIO Channel 19 reports the victim was identified by a family member as a 74-year-old woman. The woman was in a motorized scooter when she was struck by the ambulance, WOIO reports.
