NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A paramedic who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash died of his injuries last week.

Charleston County EMS paramedic Bronson Rash, 25, was driving to work when a truck failed to give the right of way and pulled out in front of him Feb. 19. Fellow colleagues responded to the crash and transported Rash to the hospital. He died of his injuries more than a week after the crash, reported the Post and Courier.

A GoFundMe has raised over $7,000 to assist his family. As an organ donor, Rash will “continue to help others from his organ donations and he will remain in our hearts the hero he always was.”

“Bronson’s family will always be taken care of and will always be CCEMS family,” an update on the page read.
