FONTANA, Calif. —A vehicle collision involving an ambulance and a pickup killed a 68-year-old man, the Fontana Herald News reported. EMS providers who were in the American Medical Response rig were injured Friday.
Police at the scene said they found significant damage to the ambulance and that the pickup truck had rolled over, trapping the man and dog inside. The man died there. The dog had significant injuries and was put to sleep.
The injured EMS providers were treated for moderate injuries and transported to hospitals.
The crash is under investigation.
