“I ride because the families and friends of the fallen EMS people need to know we are still here for them every single day of the year.”
Rolling reporter Hillary Gates checks in from mile 15 of the East Coast leg of the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride. This leg takes riders over 400 miles from Boston to Crystal City, Virginia, over the course of 7 days.
Gates and her fellow riders share why they ride – to honor those who have been lost in the line of duty, servicing their communities with dignity and dedication.
