COLUMBUS, Ohio — The National Registry of EMTs has announced that distributive education limits in the National Continued Competency Program model are permanently waived, in effect continuing a temporary pandemic-era decision.
The limits on online training for the purposes of continuing education, recertification, state licensure eligibility, refresher training and re-entry have been removed as of Sept. 30.
That date was chosen so as not to interfere with 2023 recertification applications.
The change will be in effect weeks after the NREMT rescinded its resolution on EMS eligibility requirements.
