EPHRATE Twp., Pa. — An Ephrata Township man stole a stethoscope from an ambulance while it was transporting his friend for treatment Monday morning, police said.
Alan Bedoya Jr., 26, of Coolidge Drive, Ephrata, was riding in the ambulance as a guest while his friend was being transported to Ephrata Community Hospital, Ephrata police said.
Bedoya stole a stethoscope belonging to an Ephrata Ambulance Association emergency medical technician, police said. Ephrata police took him into custody, and he was in possession of the instrument.
Bedoya was arraigned before District Judge Jene Willwerth and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail, police said.
