Ziamatic Corp is now offering a portable cylinder lift system to safely change O2 cylinders. Model QR-CL automatically lifts and lowers the cylinder, at the touch of a switch, reducing chances for strains and back injuries. It works with all common sized O2 cylinders. When the Zico QR-CL is in use, the O2 cylinder is always secured.
From the moment it is loaded onto the cart until it is secured in the ambulance, the safety strap is always attached, making it the safest lift on the market. It has a list price of $2,099, and just one unit can service your entire station, reducing the need to purchase multiple units.
The Zico cylinder lift is constructed primarily of steel and fully assembled in the United States. It is 48.25 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 36.5 inches long, giving it a sturdy base without taking up too much space. The unit is folded down when shipped to allow it to be shipped without the need of motor freight. With the use of simple hand tools, and about ten minutes of time, the unit is set up and ready to go.
The cylinder lift is capable of lifting the cylinder up 30 inches and with an outward reach of 23 inches. The unit’s large range allows it to work in almost any application.
The QR-CL ships complete with a battery and AC charger. Once fully charged, the unit will last for over 50 cycles before needing a charge. The battery can be charged while in the unit. Simply attach the clips to the battery and plug the charger into any electrical outlet.
Loading a cylinder is simple and painless. Loosen the securing strap so that it is free from the buckle and move the QR-CL directly behind the cylinder. After locking the wheels, simply rotate the cylinder onto the base and wrap the strap around it to secure it in place. Raise it up about an inch, unlock the wheels, and safely move it anywhere it needs to go.
All four caster wheels rotate 360 degrees, allowing it to maneuver in the tightest of quarters. The back two wheels can be locked, keeping the unit in place during loading and unloading.
To remove the cylinder from the ambulance, start by removing the strap from the cylinder lift using the clip on the strap. Next, feed the strap around the cylinder in the ambulance. Move the cylinder lift close to the compartment and secure the strap to the unit.
Once the unit it fully secured to the cylinder, it is time to unsecure it from the ambulance. Simply pull the cart back and roll your cylinder wherever it needs to go. Just the same as when loading, the cylinder is never unsecured, reducing the chance for injuries.
The Ziamatic cylinder lift, model QR-CL, can be purchased from any of Ziamatic’s dealers. For more information regarding the unit call 1-800-711-FIRE or visit www.ziamatic.com.
