This week’s Photo of the Week comes from Manatee County (Fla.) EMS, which celebrated the accomplishments of its providers by distributing six “Phoenix Awards” this month. The department’s monthly Phoenix Awards are reserved for crews that achieve a cardiac arrest save in the field, with the criteria that the patient must leave the hospital neurologically intact.
Providers met with two cardiac arrest survivors and received recognition for their life-saving work at the Department of Public Safety Awards Ceremony on March 9.
