In an effort to raise mental health and PTSD awareness, I’ve created a lot of heavy and dark art work. If that’s all it was none of us would do it. This image shows why we do what we do. I recently had a patient I treated come to the hall and thank me in person for saving him.
There’s not many jobs that can truly make a difference in someone’s life. What a rush to be battling death himself. How many professions are there that require you to make life and death decisions? It’s not like that every day, but it does happen. When you meet someone who is alive because of a decision you made it’s quite incredible. That’s why I do it. It’s a job unlike any other and I love it.
