Saskatoon, SK, Canada - Crestline announces today the official product unveiling of the Summit 170 Type 1 Ambulance, an addition to the Summit Series. The Summit offers flexible design options to meet the specific needs of Fire Departments, EMS Services and First Responders. The Summit Series incorporates the latest innovations in ambulance design and technology, leading the industry in safety and durability. This exclusive product unveiling will take place at FDIC, at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, IN, April 22-27, 2013.

In order to protect paramedics and patients, Crestline has built the strongest roll cage in the industry. For increased durability the Summit’s exterior skin is made of a thicker .125" aluminum. The safety of our roll cage construction has been proven with extreme static load testing. Test results show that after applying 17,000 lbs to the Summit’s roof and 65,000 lbs to the side, the Summit roll cage was unharmed and the doors still functioned properly.
