HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — At the Gathering of the Eagles 2024, a forward-thinking conference for EMS medical directors that is renowned for showcasing future medical innovations, a new tourniquet device was introduced that could improve trauma care.
The AutoTQ, an automated tourniquet designed for ease of use and rapid application by both public safety and the general public, aims to reduce preventable deaths from blood loss.
In this video, Hannah Herbst, who created the AutoTQ, discusses the product’s benefits. Hannah won the 2015 Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, earning the title of “America’s Top Young Scientist,” and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2018. She is the founder and CEO of Golden Hour Medical.
