CANADA — A Canadian EMS agency is investigating after a photo posted on Facebook appears to show a paramedic putting a discarded pool table into the back of an ambulance.
The photo was posted on Sunday with the caption, “Ambulance drivers loading a pool table someone threw out into the back of the ambulance in Oshawa.. Hope they have room to put a patient in there if they need too.”
According to The Chatham Voice, Chatham-Kent Emergency Rescue Service is investigating the incident, but no further details have been released.
“We understand and share the disappointment expressed by those in our community and take these matters very seriously,” the agency’s communications manager said in a statement, according to The Chatham Voice. “We are formally reviewing the details surrounding this incident to ensure appropriate actions are taken.”
