CHESTERFIELD, England — An EMS agency spoke out against angry and impatient drivers after a man honked his horn for about 30 minutes and later verbally abused paramedics who were responding to a call because his roadway was blocked.
BBC reported that an investigation is underway by the East Midlands Ambulance Service after a man sounded his horn for half an hour while paramedics treated a patient.
The agency expressed their frustration on Twitter of the repeated incidents that its EMS providers have recently endured, and stressed that the patient is always the top priority.

“No matter how loudly you shout at our crews, how much you beep your horn, or nasty the notes you leave on our windscreens, if we are treating a patient, they will always come first,” the EMS agency tweeted after the incident. “Sometimes we will need to block driveways or roads so that we can access a patient experiencing a medical emergency. Please be patient with us, one day it could be you or your family member who needs our emergency help.”
