NEW YORK — “Nightwatch,” a new A&E Network series, premieres in an hour-long episode that follows elite teams of emergency responders as they risk their lives to work the busiest and most unnerving shift of the day, the overnight shift in New Orleans, La.. The first episode premieres Thursday, January 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
In the historic city of New Orleans, police officers, firefighters and EMT’s working the overnight shift answer as many as a thousand emergency calls a night. “Nightwatch” follows multiple sets of partners in the New Orleans Emergency Medical Services unit who cover the intense and unpredictable period from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. as they battle time and circumstance to save lives.
The skills, dedication and determination that these critical and dangerous jobs require are on full display nightly while each new traumatic call comes in. Emergency responders in NOLA are shown saving lives and being a support system for the community.
