In this new series from the Medic Mindset Podcast, The Thinking Series, host Ginger Locke interviews the brightest clinicians and artists in emergency medicine about how they think. One chief complaint at a time, she and her guests dive into the complexities of differential diagnosis and clinical reasoning.
Dr. Brandon Bleess is her first guest, and he shares his thoughts about patients presenting with a chief complaint of chest pain. He is a physician who is board certified in both emergency medicine and EMS. He’s the medical director for an aeromedical service in Illinois. He’s on the faculty at the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine and has been active in the prehospital setting since becoming an EMT in 2003.
