CLINTON, Miss. — NAEMT has partnered with Hilton Hotels and American Express to provide free hotel rooms for EMS providers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hotel chain will be donating one million free room nights to EMS and healthcare professionals from the NAEMT and other medical associations, including the American Nurses Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses, according to a statement from Hilton.
Starting on April 13, NAEMT members can book rooms in up to seven-day increments at no cost through the NAEMT website. The offer is currently effective through May 31, according to an NAEMT statement.
The association said hotel employees have received extra training on health and safety measures for guests and themselves, and that lobbies and common areas will be cleaned regularly. They added that daily housekeeping will not be performed for the safety of both guests and staff, and that restaurant services may be limited due to the circumstances of the pandemic, but that grab-and-go food options are available at most locations.
More information on the rooms and partnership have been outlined in an FAQ.
“NAEMT sends our deepest gratitude to all of you bravely caring for patients during this unprecedented public health crisis,” the NAEMT statement read. “We admire you and want to support you any way we can. We hope this partnership with Hilton and American express provides some peace of mind, and the chance to recharge as you continue on your mission.”
