CareFlite EMT Jesse Lozano lost his battle with stomach and liver cancer Thursday. Lozano had been an EMT in Cleburme, Texas since 1993. During his career he worked at Whitney, Alert Care, Med Trans, AMR, and CareFlite ground transport.
Lozano was an amazing man. He helped save many lives and influenced many more. He helped train fire departments in Mexico and got an ambulance donated to a department that didn’t have one. He was involved with an explorer program that taught first aid to many kids who went on to become flight and critical care paramedics, nurses, and doctors.
Lozano was well liked by everybody that knew him and worked with him. His dedication and service to patients and their families will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held May 9 at 10 a.m. at the Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church in Eagan, Texas. Fire department and ambulance agencies are expected to participate in the memorial service.
