New Texas ambulance service has ‘troubling’ past

Official state reports say the service has been under multiple investigations that have resulted in $45,000 in fines

DRISCOLL, Texas — The towns of Driscoll, Bishop and Petronila have hired a new ambulance service to share, after their old provider left due to a break down in contract negotiations last week. The three towns make up Emergency Service District 6 and share emergency services.

A new ambulance service based in the valley called Pro-Medic E.M.S has now been hired, but it turns out that they may not be the best choice.

6 News obtained documents from the Texas Department of State Health Services that detail multiple investigations launched against Pro-Medic in the last three years.
