ARDMORE, Pa. — Even though some roads will be closed and the area might face horrific traffic gridlock because of Pope Francis’ planned visit, Lower Merion and Narberth residents calling 911 for an ambulance will not face delays in care.
That’s because Narberth Ambulance will have a fully equipped motorcycle ambulance on hand for the three days of the papal visit, from Sept. 25 through 27, to zip through traffic jams.
“Our first priority is to make sure the residents don’t see any variation in service,” said Chris Flanagan, chief of operations for Narberth Ambulance and a Radnor Police lieutenant. “We’re going to be able to get you help when you need it.”
