MUMBAI, India — A free bike ambulance service was launched in India to better reach emergencies in heavy traffic.
Healthworld reported that the 24/7 bike ambulance service was created by Lodha Foundation, a charitable trust, to quickly reach patients who will be transported to hospitals at no charge.
Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the charitable trust’s founder, said the bikes are equipped with an oxygen cylinder, medical kit, stretcher and space for doctors to sit in the back.
