ESCANABA, Mich. — A college in Michigan received a training ambulance to be used as a mobile classroom for its EMT and paramedic program.
ABC10up.com reported Bay College will use the ambulance to train students for a variety of real-life medical scenarios.
“The students are going to get a real feel for what it’s going to be like to taking care of a patient while they’re moving down the highway,” said program director Amanda Armatti.
The students in the program think training in a real ambulance will give them valuable experience.
“The more equipment that we have, the more we can simulate the outside world … the better we will be when we step out into the job force,” said student Dave Deno.
