LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A motorcyclist was killed and a patient was injured after an ambulance crash in front of a Kentucky hospital on Saturday.
The ambulance was turning into the entrance of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville just before 2 a.m. when it collided with the motorcycle, according to the Louisville Courier Journal.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police officials said.
The patient who was inside the ambulance during the crash complained of a minor injury and was treated at the Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
The crash is under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Traffic Unit.
