LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A rollover ambulance crash in Kentucky injured five people on Monday, including two Indiana EMS providers and a 3-year-old child.
The New Chapel EMS rig was transporting the child and the child’s mother when it struck another vehicle and flipped onto its side while driving through downtown Louisville, according to WAVE 3.
Louisville Metro Police Department Spokesman Dwight Mitchell said the ambulance failed to yield the right of way to the other vehicle.
The toddler, the mother, two EMS providers and the driver of the other vehicle all sustained minor injuries in the crash. The child was transported to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
The crash is under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department.
