LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two ambulance crewmembers were seriously injured in a fatal head-on ambulance crash Wednesday.
An SUV crashed into the Louisville Metro EMS ambulance while crossing over lanes, police said, killing the SUV passenger and injuring the SUV driver and two crewmembers, according to WDRB. The rig was not carrying a patient at the time of the crash.
Officials said that both Louisville Metro EMS employees and the driver of the SUV were transported to the hospital in critical condition. The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating the crash.
