OWEN COUNTY, Ky. — Emergency crews responded to a medical helicopter crash in Owen County on Oct. 7.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office told WLWT that the helicopter involved was Air Evac Lifeteam 133, which operates out of Williamstown, Ky.
Officials have confirmed that at least one person was killed in the crash, though details have not yet been released on what caused the helicopter to crash.
A social media post from the Owenton, Owen County Volunteer Fire, and Owen County Search & Rescue Departments stated that crews responded and that a federal investigation was underway.
