Emergency medical personnel in Clark County will participate in a national study of methods for resuscitating people whose hearts have stopped.

The study will look at two resuscitation strategies: how long to do CPR before using a defibrillator, and the use of a small plastic device that fits onto the face mask breathing tube used during CPR ... Full Story

I come from a system that merged Fire and EMS. When I came to this system, we were the Large EMS System of the Year. Then we merged. Since that time we have become less than an optimal EMS system. The county tried to fix a broken FD by merging with a working EMS system.
