Ambu Introduces “SmartMan” Intelligent CPR Training Manikin
GLEN BURNIE, Maryland – Ambu Inc. has launched SmartMan, the world’s most accurate intelligent CPR Training Manikin, capable of measuring, testing and validating in realtime, the crucial CPR skills of compressions and ventilations.
SmartMan is a unique combination of Ambu’s patented, field-tested Ambu Man C Manikin and leading edge, real-time feedback software created by partner V4EMS. Ambu SmartMan is specifically designed to rapidly improve the Quality and Performance of CPR,for both the Health Care Professional and the Lay Rescuer.
Easy to understand “on-screen” colored graphs immediately and accurately display the rate, depth and release of compressions and for ventilations it displays the rate and volume of inspirations along with timing of ventilations. SmartMan allows the user to adjust and improve their skills in real-time, as they perform them.
SmartMan also compares the results with the current guidelines. This includes: (30:2 CPR), Rescue Breathing, 1 and 2 Person CPR and other skills standards. It then provides the user with a relative percentage score (out of 100%) indicating the user’s skill level. A full report is produced for both practice and test sessions. SmartMan also provides secure administrator access to the reports.
