Job Description |
| This position has a job assignment at the Methodist Hospital Base. The Critical Care Transport Paramedic is primarily responsible for providing care to patients during inter-facility and emergency transports in accordance with JeffSTAT’s predetermined treatment protocols. The Critical Care Transport Paramedic acts as an ambassador of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH), as he or she is often the first member of the Jefferson healthcare delivery team with whom the patient and their family will have contact.

| Requirements: Current certification as Pennsylvania Department of Health Paramedic (EMT-P) or ability to obtain through state reciprocity. Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS). State driver’s license free of chargeable offenses

Job Requirements

- Education High school diploma
- Experience Two to four (2-4) years of field paramedic experience in a critical care transport program or 911 ALS ambulance service.
- Additional Requirement :
This position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, the candidate chosen for the position will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, Act 73, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working in the position until all three are completed.
