The Putnam County Fire Department said in a statement that firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire on I-40 eastbound and found the ambulance cab “fully involved” in flames.
Fire crews managed to bring the fire under control in less than 10 minutes and remained on the scene for about 40 minutes.
