DIGGINS, Mo. — A Missouri ambulance was destroyed after it caught fire Thursday afternoon.
Two Ava Ambulance District employees were inside the rig when it caught fire due to a mechanical problem, according to KY3. The crewmembers managed to escape and were not injured, and there were no patients inside the ambulance at the time of the incident.
The fire occurred at Missouri State Highway O and U.S. Route 60. The ambulance was destroyed in the blaze, leaving the Ava Ambulance District with only four ambulances.
The estimated losses were totaled at $350,000.
